Description

Iberico Pork Marinated Sliced Delicias offer a savoury treat perfect for quick and tasty meals. Made from premium Iberian pork, these slices are marinated to enhance their flavour, making them versatile for sandwiches, salads, or as a delicious snack on their own. Enjoy the rich taste of Iberico pork with every bite of these convenient and ready-to-eat slices.
Coming from Spain, Iberico pork is a type of black pig and yields darker meat than the more common breeds, with a deeper more pronounced flavour that elevates pork dishes to new dimensions. The great marbling of fat running through the muscles makes this pork uniquely succulent, flavoursome and tender.

Marinade ingredients: Salt, garlic, paprika, sugar, and spices.

Cooking Instructions

Iberico Marinated Delicias - Plancha, Pan or Barbecue

±300g, already marinated. Serves 1 to 2. Defrost 12 hours. Under 5 minutes of cooking.

1. Defrost
Move the pack from freezer to fridge. Leave it in its packaging, on a plate. Allow 12 hours. Cook within 48 hours of defrosting. Do not refreeze.

2. Add nothing
These come marinated and need no salt, oil or seasoning of any kind before cooking.

3. Shake off the excess
Lift the slices from the marinade and let the surplus drip away. Wet slices steam rather than sear, and the marinade that stays in the pan is what burns.

4. Medium-high heat, not your highest
A plancha, heavy pan or barbecue. The marinade contains sugar and paprika, both of which catch and blacken on a scorching surface. You want it to caramelise, not burn.

5. Cook in one layer
1½ to 2 minutes a side, turning once. Leave space between the slices.

6. Wipe the pan between batches
The marinade catches and darkens as it goes. Wipe the pan with kitchen paper, let it come back to temperature, then carry on.

7. Serve immediately
Straight from the pan with bread and a squeeze of lemon. Around 63°C, still faintly pink, is where these eat best.

  • The Land of the Black Hoof

In the sun-baked plains and ancient oak forests of Spain's dehesa, the Pata Negra pig lives as it has for centuries, roaming freely, foraging on acorns, and taking its time. That unhurried life is exactly what makes Iberico pork extraordinary. The acorn diet infiltrates the fat itself, creating an intense, nutty depth of flavour that no other pork in the world can replicate.
