Description

Known in Italy as Tartufata, this black truffle paste has a rich, spreadable consistency closer to a pesto than a traditional sauce. Made from 80% mushrooms and 8% Summer Truffle breakings (Tuber aestivum Vitt.), preserved in extra virgin olive oil, it delivers deep, earthy truffle flavour with real body and texture.

A versatile pantry staple: stir through pasta or risotto for an instant umami lift, spread over bruschetta or crostini, spoon over grilled meats, or fold into a sauce for extra depth. A little goes a long way.

Ingredients

Mushrooms (Agaricus bosporus) 80%, Summer Truffle breakings (Tuber aestivum Vitt.) 8%, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, aroma, salt

  • ITALY

Nestled in the wooded hills of Terni, Umbria, our truffle producer draws on one of Italy's most celebrated truffle regions. Umbria's dense oak and hazelnut forests, combined with its mineral-rich soil, create the ideal conditions for both Black Winter and Summer Truffles to flourish, earning the region a reputation among Italy's finest for truffle quality.

Working closely with local trifolau (truffle hunters) and their trained dogs, the producer sources truffles at peak ripeness, preserving their intense aroma and depth of flavour in every jar. The result is a range that reflects Umbria's deep truffle heritage, a taste of the region's forest floor, captured at its finest.
