Korean Ssamjang Paste

Bombom Ssamjang is a rich, savoury Korean fermented paste, traditionally served as a dip alongside grilled meats. Made with fermented soybean paste (doenjang) and red pepper paste (gochujang), it delivers deep umami flavour with a gentle heat and a satisfyingly thick, textured consistency.

Unlike a pourable sauce, ssamjang is dense and spreadable, designed to be dabbed, dipped or spooned. It pairs beautifully with grilled beef short ribs, pork belly, chicken thighs and ribs, adding bold flavour without overpowering the meat. It’s equally delicious mixed into marinades, spread onto roasted vegetables, or served with leafy greens, rice bowls and even crisps.

Nutty, earthy notes from sesame and fermented soy give this paste its distinctive character, complex, savoury and irresistibly moreish.

Soybean paste (soybean, wheat, salt, koji, water, alcohol), rapeseed oil, water, sugar, plum syrup (plum extract, sugar), fructooligosaccaride, vinegar, lemon concentrate, garlicconcentrate, chilli powder, onion, modified potato starch, mustard powder, salt, xanthan gum (E415).
