Prime US Corn-Fed Beef Striploin

USDA corn-fed beef striploin from Imperial Valley Farms is a true delight for meat lovers. This premium cut comes from cattle that are carefully raised and fed a rich corn-based diet for over 300 days, ensuring exceptional marbling and flavor.

The extended feeding period allows the beef to develop a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth texture that makes each bite incredibly satisfying. The striploin, known for its balance of tenderness and rich, beefy taste, is perfect for grilling or pan-searing to bring out its full potential.

Imperial Valley Farms takes great pride in the care and attention given to their cattle, resulting in high-quality beef that consistently delivers on taste. Whether you’re planning a special dinner or simply want to treat yourself to something extraordinary, this striploin is sure to impress.

If you want to roast, cut in half, season with table salt and a touch of oil, roast in a preheated oven at 220 for 10 - 15 minutes. Turning the fat a delicious golden brown, this will lock in the beautiful flavours, and keep the roasting joint juicy and tender during cooking. Turn the heat down to 160 and cook for a further 35-45 minutes depending on how rare you like it. Wrap in foil after cooking and let rest. Serve it up with a Spicy Sweet Potato Colcannon, an Irish take on Bubble n Squeak, with crispy Pancetta on top. This is mashed sweet potato fried off with kale, and thinly sliced onions, all cooked in butter season with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. Serve with the crispy Pancetta sprinkled over the top.

Cooking Tips For Steaks

- For frozen steaks, thaw overnight in the fridge.
- Bring the steak to room temperature 20 minutes before cooking (time will vary depending on thickness).
- Pat dry
- We don't recommend any seasonning for Japanese Wagyu as well as other Wagyu Beef as all the flavours are in the fat.
- Don't cook Wagyu on a grill as you will loose all the fat.
- Get your skillet smoking hot before putting the steak in.
- Cook the steak on either side for about 2 minutes depending on thickness or until the meat is forming a stunning golden crust to it.
- Except for Japanese Wagyu, half way through cooking, we like basting it with unsalted butter and a few branches of fresh thym.
- Remove from the heat and let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes under aluminum foil as it will allow juices to reabsorb into the meat and the fibres to relax. This is where the magic operates.
- Once cooked, you can then season your meat with some Blackthorn Scottish Salt or freshly grinded pepper.
