How to prepare your diced chicken
Here is a quick and delicious recipe using your Herb Fed diced chicken:
Herb-Infused Creamy Garlic Chicken
Ingredients:
- 500g diced chicken
- 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 200ml heavy cream (or double cream)
- 1 tsp dried thyme (or fresh if available)
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 tsp paprika (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the chicken:
- Season the diced chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika (if using).
2. Sauté the chicken:
- Heat the olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until lightly golden and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
3. Cook the aromatics:
- In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil or butter if needed.
- Sauté the minced garlic and chopped onion until fragrant and softened, about 2-3 minutes.
4. Make the creamy sauce:
- Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream. Stir well to combine.
- Add the thyme, rosemary, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Let the sauce simmer gently for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Combine:
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, stirring to coat the pieces in the creamy sauce.
- If using Parmesan, stir it in now and allow it to melt into the sauce.
6. Serve:
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot over rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta.
