Prime Ribeye Whole Muscle

You’ll feed a large gathering and have plenty to spare with this 5kg Prime Ribeye Whole Muscle.

The taste is what makes our Prime Ribeye Whole Muscle so popular. With its hearty blend of marbling and texture that delivers mouth-watering flavour and tenderness, this Prime Ribeye Whole Muscle is superb as a Roasting Joint or cut into thick steaks.

Any beef from the rib area has a higher fat content than other cuts. This area is also among those that produce the most tender beef cuts, and the extra fat makes the Ribeye particularly delicious.

Rich marbling and a natural “flavor kernel” running through, really distinguish Wet-aged Ribeye muscles. This marbling will slowly melt and baste the meat throughout the cooking process, imparting a mellow, Prime Ribeye flavour.

Our USDA graded Prime Beef comes to us from cattle ranches in the US Midwest. USDA grading requires supervision and testing that is more stringent than non-certified programs. Only 2% of the beef raised in the US is certified for EU export.

Our suppliers pride themselves on full animal traceability from birth ranch to finishing. Carefully controlled, high-quality corn based feed produces well-marbled, tender beef raised in a wholly natural manner.

It takes longer and creates more work to raise cattle using these guidelines, but we think it's the right thing to do, and so do our suppliers.

Accompaniments

One of Meat Me At Home's favourite customers recently ordered this muscle for a Sunday roast. Here are his recommendations:

" I caramelized black garlic, powdered ceps, treacle and horseradish, salt’n’pepper, then cooked sous vide for approx. 16hrs and then finished on the BBQ. Served with a ragout of shin of beef (for the sauce) Yorkies, Roasties and Sunday veg. Was all great and had cold beef and Yorkshire Pud sandwiches on Monday."
