1 x Chateaubriand: min 500gr / min 17.63oz
Our premium Wagyu Beef is brought to you in this outstanding historical cut. The Chateaubriand stamps itself as the piece de resistance to any evening meal. The marbling in our Wagyu beef Chateaubriand gives the meat a luxuriously smooth, buttery texture and an incredibly rich flavour.
Serves 2 - 4 people
Best cooked medium-rare the Wagyu Chateaubriand just needs salt, pepper and oil rubbed into it before cooking. Brown the piece of meat on all sides in a smoking hot pan, then place in a preheated oven at 190°C for 10-12 minutes. Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes, cut thick slices and serve. Accompany with a traditional Béarnaise sauce and crushed new potatoes, finished with a handful of rocket for crunch and complementary peppery flavour.
For a delightful accompaniment to a summer spread you can also slice the Chateaubriand wafer thin and serve as a Carpaccio. Lay the slices on a serving platter and drizzle with olive oil, squeeze of lemon juice, shavings of Parmigiano-Reggiano. Although Chateaubriand doesn't have as much marbling as other cuts of Wagyu Beef, it has the delectable buttery flavour, which is unforgettable.
